Harold! The Musical
about the play

Harold! The Musical is a one-act flight of whimsy, which documents one man's struggle to find joy in his dystopian workaholic society. Join us in this absurdist dark comedy with Harold, a sub-par worker at Sludge Inc. (a corporation which produces "Business Bears," the first no-nonsense teddy of our time), who tries to bring song and dance to his wife, his town, and his co-workers with similarly sub-par results. Tempted by rumors of a singing town, Harold leaves his home to seek sunnier pastures - even if he must sacrifice his own sanity to complete the journey. Harold! pokes fun at cheesy Broadway musicals while simultaneously presenting the audience with a wide array of over-the-top Broadway numbers.

Harold! was a grant recipient in the 2011 Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Arts at Brandeis University. It was performed by original cast, Matt Cohen, Gabriel Bronk, Taylor Hamilton, Yoni Bronstein, Sarah Pace, Ben Hornstein, and Leah Merker - with Karen Lowe featured on piano.
